  • 1 cup coarse semolina

  • 1 cup semolina
  • ,

  • ¾ cup sunflower oil
  • ,

  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • ,

  • 1 cup pureed nectarines
  • ,

  • 3 cups water

For the decoration

    ,

  •  8 nectarine slices

Directions

  • Pour the sunflower oil in a large pot, let it heat up and then add both cups of semolina.
  • ,

  • Let it get roasted while stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until it absorbs all the oil and gets a light brown color.
  • ,

  • Remove the pot from the heat, add sugar, the nectarine puree and stir constantly until all ingredients are mixed.
  • ,

  • Add water and put back the pot on the fire.
  • ,

  • Stir until it absorbs all liquid and starts to peel away from the walls of the pot.
  • ,

  • Transfer the halva in a cake form, decorate with slices of nectarine and let it cool.
  • ,

  • Remove from the form and serve
