Yes. Food trends difine the food industry as they define the fashion industry. There may be no catwalks for food, but food bloggers, instagram and hip restaurants in major metropolises set trends, and they set what you choose to fill up your dish.
It is one of the most humble foods of the mother nature and remains at the top of food trends for the last season. From East to West you will find it in hummus (like the recipe you can see with a click here), or in colorful hummus with beetroot, pesto or even broccoli.
It plays as a key ingredient in burger along with other super foods like quinoa (click for recipe here). I personally used them to make vegetarian ”meatballs” with cumin and tahini (see recipe with a click here), at the menu of 7 Cactus.
