Postcards from Molyvos
Δεν μπορώ να διανοηθώ καλοκαιρινές διακοπές μακριά από αυτό την υπέροχη γωνιά της Ελλάδας, το Μόλυβο! Δεν είναι που έχω καταγωγή από εδώ (από τη μεριά του πατέρα μου) αλλά είναι πραγματικά ένας ευλογημένος τόπος. Γραφικός, ρομαντικός, με ιστορία. Κάθε καλοκαίρι αγαπώ να επιστρέφω στο Μόλυβο, να πηγαίνω στην ίδια ταβέρνα, να κάθομαι στο ίδιο τραπέζι, να τρώω το ίδιο πιάτο. Να λιάζομαι στα μπαλκόνια με θέα το Αιγαίο και να χάνομαι στα μαγαζιά με τις ρίγανες, το ούζο και το λαδοτύρι. Και για βουτιές στην παραλία της Ανάξου.
I can not imagine a summer vacation away from this wonderful corner of Greece, Molyvos! It’s not because I come from here (from my father’s side) but this is really a blessed place. Colorful, romantic, with great history. Every summer I love going back to Molyvos, visiting the same restaurant, sitting at the same table, eating the same dish. I love sunbathing in the balconies overlooking the Aegean Sea and getting lost in the shops with the oregano, ouzo and its cheese. And then I go swimming to my favorite Anaxos beach.
