- 1kg figs
- 200 grams. Brown sugar
- juice of 1 lemon
- 5-6 cloves (optional)

Directions

- Peel the figs and place them in a glass bowl.
- Add the sugar and lemon juice.
- Cover with plastic wrap and place the bowl in the fridge for 12 hours.
- Then transfer the content of the bowl in a pan with a thick bottom.
- Place the saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add the cloves and cook for 30 minutes while stirring regularly with a wooden spoon.
- If you the mixture foams remove most of it with a slotted spoon.
- Remove from the heat and allow the jam to cool.
- Once cool transfer the jam into sterilized jars.
