HEALTHY BRUNCH: SALMON WITH AVOCADO

Today’s dish is not a recipe but an inspiration to start your day the right way and healthy!

Salmon is a valuable food as it is a natural source of nutrients, especially balanced and absorbed proteins, and contains in significant quantities vitamins, minerals, trace elements and of course the valuable and essential ω-3 fatty acids.

Avocados on the other hand is one of the most misunderstood fruits because it has the reputation of being fattening and therefore not recommended for weight loss diets. Avocados, however, is one of the most complete foods that can be found in nature. It is rich in sterols, chemicals that have been scientifically proven to help lower cholesterol because they prevent the blood from absorbing it.

Grapefruit is an important source of vitamin C, which greatly boosts the immune system and helps prevent colds.

Ingredients

  • 100 gr salmon
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 handful green salad (of your choice)
  • 3 slices grapefruit
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  • On a plate, serve the sliced avocado, salmon and salad.
  • Pour in olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper.
  • Add the slices of grapefruit and serve.
