CHEESE BREAD WITH SAUSAGE

I made an cheese bread in a cake mold and add a surprise!

Ingredients

Ingredients for 2 cheese breads
  • 600 gr flour
  • 25 gr fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ sup water (Depending on the flour may need a little more or less)
  • Som oil for the bowl
For the filling:
  • 350 gr spicy feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon fresh mint or oregano
  • freshly ground pepper, at will
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon. milk
  • a little extra flour
  • 2 sausages

Instructions

  • We start by activating the yeast.
  • Dissolve in a bowl of some lukewarm water, sprinkle with a little sugar and stir.
  • Cover well with a membrane and leave for 10 minutes to activate.
  • In another bowl, add the flour and salt, mix with a whisk to dissolve any lumps.
  • When the foam appears on the surface the yeast is ready, add the flour and begin to knead.
  • Add some water until the dough is formed.
  • Put the dough on the workbench and knead it vigorously for 10 minutes.
  • Grease a little bowl and put it in the dough.
  • Cover the bowl and let the dough double in volume.
  • To speed up the process, preheat the oven to 50 ° C for 10 minutes, close the oven and put it in the dough.
  • In a bowl mix the feta cheese, olive oil, mint.
  • Pour them into the dough and knead well.
  • Shape two long loaves, put a sausage in the center and place on oiled sheet.
  • Cover them well and let them double in volume for about 40 minutes.
  • Beat the egg with the milk and brush it around.
  • Cut a bit of their surface with a sharp knife.
  • Bake in a well preheated oven at 180 ° C for 40 minutes until browned well.
